Upper Chest Workout

Great Exercises for your Upper Chest Workout.

Building the muscle strength and mass of your upper chest is an important part of working out. A common problem is having really well developed lower Pecs and their upper chest is not as big. There are many exercises out there you can perform in your upper chest workout but some are better than others. To get the most out of the time you spend at the gym or working out at home when performing your upper chest workout make sure you are using the most effective exercises. These are usually ones using free weights like dumbbells or barbells as opposed to machines although there are a few good machines to use like the Smith Press. A few of the exercises I recommend are:

  • Bench Press (at various levels on incline)
  • Shrugs with dumbbells to work out the upper chest
  • Dumbbell Flys
  • Inclined Dumbbell press
  • Cable Crossover

Remember when you are doing your upper chest workout or any other workout that it is more important to make sure you have good technique and are performing the exercises properly than ramping up the amount of weight you are doing. If you are not doing the exercises properly you won’t get the results you are looking for and could even hurt yourself.
